Canoeing on the Dordogne or the Vézère is one of the most beautiful ways to experience the region. The river carries you past cliffs, castles, beaches and quiet stretches where only the sound of the water remains. The pace is relaxed, but the scenery is grand. An activity suited to families as well as to those seeking the calm of the river.

In Pompadour (Corrèze), everything revolves around horses. At the foot of the famous château lies the historic racecourse, where spectacular horse races take place from late May to early September. It is the only racecourse in France with a natural sand track, making every race all the more special.
Many villages have small tennis courts, often surrounded by greenery. Playing tennis in the Dordogne therefore feels light and relaxed: no large sports complexes, but peaceful spots where you play with views of hills or village edges. Ideal for an active morning or a late afternoon in the shade.

Golf courses in the Dordogne are almost always set in open, gently rolling countryside. The combination of space, quiet and long sightlines makes the game feel different here. The courses are challenging without being overly technical. A sport that naturally blends with the tranquillity of the landscape.
